Part I: Tamil Eligibility Test (100 Marks) For both Open Quota Examination and Departmental Quota Examination

Objective-type questions will be asked to test the basic knowledge of the Tamil language as taught up to the 10th standard of the Tamil Nadu State Board.

Paper I: General Knowledge and Current Affairs :

  1. General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science.
  2. History of India: Ancient, Medieval, Modern History, and Indian National Movement.
  3. Geography: Physical, Political, Economic Geography, and Climate.
  4. Indian Polity: Constitution, Governance, Public Administration, Political System, and Panchayati Raj.
  5. Economy and Planning: Indian Economy, Economic Development, Poverty Alleviation, and Five-Year Plans.
  6. Current Events: National and International importance, Sports, Awards, and Honors, Major Financial/Economic News.

Paper II: Reasoning and Mental Ability

  1. Logical Reasoning: Number Series, Letter and Symbol Series, Analogies, Statement and Argument.
  2. Non-Verbal Reasoning:Visual Memory, Visual Analysis, and Spatial Orientation.
  3. Quantitative Aptitude:Number System, HCF & LCM, Simplification, Percentage, Time & Distance, Time & Work, Profit & Loss, Average, Ratio & Proportion.
